It's summer, of course. The perfect time to grow some melons! Or well, at least Yuppi thought so. As the summer sun grew hotter and hotter, he was constantly thinking about making some cool and refreshing desserts to cool him and his family down. And he ultimately decided it'd be nice to have melon as an available ingredient!

Lucas and Ruby seemed to also be agreement that it'd be nice to have some melon to snack on, even opting to help him with his little farm to speed the process up! The family tended to the melon patch, making sure it was watered enough, as well as making sure to give the soil the right kind of mulch.

However...During one of their morning of watering the batches. Yuppi noticed something was off. Was that melon always there? Did it suddenly move overnight? Maybe he was overthinking it... After all, he did stay up late as night trying to write a song.

Well, his doubts were cleared when he turned around just to see Lucas and Ruby running towards him withtwo meetles chasing right after them.
"Help! The melon have come alive! Darling, save us!" Lucas said, clinging to Yuppi. It wasn't like he couldn't take them on himself though, it was just him playing up so his husband could act heroic. Ruby hid behind her dads, as the meetle crept closer.

"The little melon tried to bite me..." Ruby looked at Yuppi with tears in her eyes. Yuppi couldn't stand to watch his daughter cry, wiping her tears and reassuring her, but he also wasn't sure if it was really fair to attack the meetles immediately. Maybe they were being hostile for a reason? Maybe they were hungry? Yuppi tried to grab a piece of lettuce he had from his daily harvest, handing it to the meetles for them to munch on. They seemed to stop to process and the lettuce, before happily snacking on it. Seemingly as if they had warmed up to Yuppi, they seemed to make a happy little noise at him. Hmm... maybe he could keep these little guys as pets...
