Nimbus isn't so sure about this. He can't get over the idea that a living thing will soon inhabit the very fabric he’s holding. Not to mention his unsteady hands– er… paws. He wouldn’t want anyone waking up inside his own sewing hack job, not even his worst enemy.

“You won’t use my work if it’s not sufficient enough, right?” Nimbus peers up at the flittering blue plushpet overseeing the process. They chuckle softly. “You have nothing to worry about. It’s all about heart. Go on, give it a try!”

The weathercat steels himself with a sigh. Alright. With an unsteady paw, he threads a single straight stitch, then peers at his supervisor to seek approval. They nod and encourage him onward with a gesture. He continues on, all the way around until he’s sewn what he believes to be an oval-shaped body.

“...It’s lumpy,” Nimbus announces as he pulls the fabric as flat as it will go. His helper seems tickled by his fretting. “It’s alright. Nobody learns to sew perfectly in just a day. Watch this.” The needleworker begins to gently tug on the tail of the thread, and before his very eyes, Nimbus’s beginner handiwork pulls perfectly straight. He can hardly tell there was a seam there to begin with.
“That’s incredible,” he remarks.
“I’ve been at it for a while. I know all the tricks! Would you like to try and sew a button next?”
Nimbus isn’t THAT captivated by their handiwork. He chuckles nervously. “If it’s all the same to you, I’d much rather watch you do it.”
