“Wow. For once something fortunate comes our way… I’m starving…” Mr. Morose, the sullen center head that makes up one third of the Gentlemen chimes in. The only thing between the trio and the sprawling field of melons they chanced upon is a short wooden fence.

Dino Boots shuffles uncomfortably in place. “You really think it’s a good idea to steal?”

“Nobody counts their eggs before they hatch,” Surly spits churlishly, “and that’s why they’re not going to notice a few missing melons.” Without further delay, the Gentlemen snake beneath the wooden railings and dive into the growth in search of a meal. Nimbus and Dino Boots stay behind.

“Are you the wagering sort, Mr. Boots? Because I am willing to bet that something terrible will happen.”

The good-natured Dino Boots can’t help but chuckle. As if on cue, the three radio hosts shout in surprise and leap several feet above the greenery. They tuck tail and make a break for the safe side of the fence. “BEASTS! There are BEASTS IN THE MELON PATCH! And they POKED US IN THE ASS-END with a VERY SHARP MELON SLICE!” The Gentlemen practically spill through the fence, then flee further past Nimbus and Dino Boots.

“We should follow them.”

“Agreed.”
