Star-Striders are native to the surface of the great basin. They are social creatures that congregate in small colonies, and feed communally by using their modified antennae to filter feed for plankton. The colonies move quickly across the water trailed by their softly glowing flame-like tails, they are said to look like comets against the night sky when traveling.
