Hive-Fruit
(for the plant gathering prompt)
The Hive-Fruit is a carnivorous plant and an epiphyte attaching itself to other larger plants. It mimics a cracked open bee-hive to lure any would be scavengers then as soon as the victim puts a limb, snout or beak into it's maw to steal the honey it snaps shut trapping them. the tendrils of the plants sway in the wind mimicking bees and have a tacky glue like texture that aids the plant when the tendrils wrap any loose limbs to prevent prey from damaging the plant. The inside of the "hive" contains hexagonal seeds and once the plant is mature it explodes into a gooey mess flinging them elsewhere to root and grow.
